It is the fresh and untouched beauty or the natural marvels around this Chopta, its myriad list of offerings and pictorial appeal has earned it the fame of being called the ‘Mini Switzerland of India’. While during the summers or springs, the entire vicinity gets embraced with the charm and appeal of the exotic vegitation, on the way to chopta you will feel that you are in an imaginary world which is beyond the sun light, during the winters, Chopta wears a thick blanket of snow that makes it even more appealing. If you visited Kedarnath than you should visit Tungnath at least once because it is like replica of Kedarnath Temple.

Day-1 Drive through from Rishikesh to Saari village
Day-2 Trek(4-5 hr) from Saari to Deoriatal(2,438m)
Day-3 Trek(5-6 hr) Deoriatal to Chopta via Rohini Bugyal
Day-4 Trek(5-6 hr) Chopta to Chandershila via Tungnath
Day-5 Chopta to Haridwar
Day-6 Buffer Day (on demand any day can be buffer day)

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 –

    Drive from Rishikesh to Sari (6 Hours),
    Your arrival in Rishikesh will be followed by a beautiful and adventurous drive to Sari along the holy Ganga and further Bhagirathi  and Alaknanda rivers. In the drive  to Sari, you can also have the glimpses of the sacred towns like Rishikesh, Devprayag and Rudraprayag. you will be reach to saari by the 2pm.

    A camera-perfect destination for nature photography, you can also feel the magical views of the sunset from the Chaukhamba Peak during this trip. Also, during this time, the lake offers the most stunning views when the golden rays of the sun strikes its surface.

  • Day 2 –

    6-7 Hours Trek, Trek from Sari to Deoriatal (2,438m)

    Waking up today morning, you will be trekking through the lush and scenic patches of pine, oaks and rhododendron forests. Stunning views of the mighty Himalayan Range and evergreen forests will keep you soaked with excitement all throughout the trek. Trekking in this region is a unique experience as the forests in this vicinity changes their colour according to the variations in temperature. The day’s trek will wind up as you arrive at Deoriatal (2,438m).

  • Day 3 –

  • Trek from Deoriatal(2,438m) to Chopta(3,000m) from Rohini Bugyal
  • Day 4 –

    Trek from Chopta – Tungnath (3400m) – Chandrashila Peak (3600m) – Chopta

    A short, yet scenic trek, today’s hike will take you to the holy Tungnath Temple. An ideal place to seek mental peace, this temple is popular among the locals and trekkers as well. Moving further from the temple; after a short break, you will be experiencing Chandrashila Summit trek that attains a towering height of 3,600m.

    Enjoy some of the most stunning and panoramic views of the Kedar, Chaukhamba and other nearby peaks before trekking back to Chopta. While in this region, you can also witness the rare and endangered golden breasted eagles.

  • Day 5 –

    Drive from Chopta to Haridwar (200km/7 Hours)

    Today morning, an exciting drive through the scenic passes and terrains of Chopta will take you back to Haridwar. On arrival in Haridwar, this amazing Chandrashila trekking tour will come to an end.

Cancellation Policy

Life is unpredictable and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel or change your trip dates and it is our endeavor to make it as easy as possible for you. However, please understand that we plan everything including guide fees, permits, accommodation and ration in advance. Therefore, any cancellation means inconvenience and certain losses to the people involved in various stages of the programme. Keeping that in mind, our cancellation charges are as below –

Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the event: Full refund as cash
Cancellations between 30days and 15 days to the start of the event: 50 % refund as cash.
Cancellations less than 15 days to the start of the event: No refund.
Cancellations will be accepted only by email.

 Note: ADVENTURE24X7 reserves the right to cancel a programme before departure in the event of logistical problems arising due to natural calamities, strikes, wars or any other circumstances that make the event inadvisable. In this case, we will refund 50% of the event fees.

Itinerary Changes &Trip delays:
We plan itineraries based on the information available at the time of planning and in rare circumstances, they are subject to change. In the event that the itinerary is changed or delayed due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, transportation delays, government intervention, landslides etc., we will always aim to give you the best experience possible. However, ADVENTURE24X7 cannot be held responsible for the cost of delay or changes.

Health & Fitness Requirements:
This trek does not require you to have any previous trekking or mountaineering experience. We do however highly recommend having an adventurous spirit and willingness to undergo the joys & hardships of outdoor camping, in addition to good physical and mental fitness, to completely enjoy the trek. If you suffer from severe muscular, chest, heart or bronchial ailments, we advise you against participating since most treks happen in remote areas with limited access to medical services & hospital facilities. Our Trek Leaders are experienced mountaineers and we trust their judgments. If during the trek, the Trek Leader advises you against continuing on the trek, we request you to respect his judgment and follow his instructions.
